It’s undeniable. The pandemic changed everything from personal interactions to how people conduct business. And as the world tries to return to a sense of normalcy, we decided now was a great time to reach out and answer questions we’ve received along the way — and show how Flight Crews Unlimited can help you navigate the “new normal” and fulfill your aviation staffing needs.

Q: Given the state of the world … what safety measures has FCU put in place to protect its staff and clients?

A: Currently, Flight Crews Unlimited is screening all contract pilots, flight attendants, maintenance techs and dispatchers that are out on assignment. Since early March, before the first U.S. stay-at-home orders were in place, our team was proactive in sending out detailed questionnaires.

Our crew members are receiving the questionnaires before and after their domestic and international trip assignments. Flight Crews Unlimited has also been sending questionnaires to our clients regarding their full-time crew members, aircraft cleanliness, passengers and the aircraft itself.

Q: Are any of FCU’s contract pilots and contract flight attendants receiving COVID-19 tests?

A: YES. Dozens of FCU contract pilots and flight attendants have been tested for COVID-19 prior to departure for their trips. Mandatory COVD-19 tests are being requested from several of FCU’s long-standing clients.

Q: How has FCU fared so far during such a difficult time?

A: There is no question that this unprecedented global pandemic has affected FCU, as it has for business aviation. As a family-owned company, we strongly believe in community and being there for one another.

We have maintained a positive attitude during this uncertain time and believe that a positive attitude, social distancing, and heightened cleaning and safety protocols are the best practices to maintain healthy and safe environments in the office — and in our clients’ airplanes.

Q: What do you think continues to/will continue to drive business aviation?

A: We have seen an uptick in new airplane owners and more people chartering private jets. We believe this trend will continue and look forward to partnering with first-time aircraft owners, and charter companies as their need for pilots increases with growing fleets.
